Ohio bound

Well, after our trip to Ohio last month to check things out, we sat down and gave it some serious thought and decided to make the move. We are moving to Ohio.

Packing up everything was as fun as can be expected, but it did give us a chance to "trim the fat" and get rid of a lot of junk that we had been keeping.

Chris: "What should we do with this?"
Juli: "DOE - NAY - SHUN!!!!"

We packed up some clothes, my motorcycle, both the cats, and ourselves and left on
the 12th. I think that in total it took us around 4 days to get here although we only had to drive 200 miles the last day. It might have only been 4 days, but it seemed like a week. We saw a lot of beautiful scenery, but there is also a lot of nothing to look at along the way (especialy in Texas and New Mexico).

Driving cross country with 2 cats might sound like a problem, but it went really smooth. Jack was his usual scared self and just packed himself neatly as far back in the travel carrier as he could get underneath all the blankets. Sabastian, on the other hand was just as comfortable sitting on the center console of the truck as he is sitting on my lap at home. he was always scratching at the door to be let out and he would just sit there and help us with directions. Both of them made the trip perfectly!

My Dad wrote a really cool song about the journey called "Ohio Bound." He plays it sometimes when he is performing at the shows he does.

Here's a link if you would like to hear it: Ohio Bound by Bill Cagle

Guess what... more driving (Ohio must be on the moon)
